Radiant Solutions (formerly MDA Information Systems, LLC) is looking for an Electrical Engineer -R&D (Research & Development)  with passion and aptitude to create robust working hardware and software for deployed systems.  This  position is located at our Ann Arbor, MI area facility.

  • Design and development of novel, rugged fielded protoypes, systems, and products in an exciting, and typically R & D-type (Research & Development) environment. 
  • Original design and implementation of both hardware(electrical and mechanical) and software to deliver a complete system.
  • Model phenomenology and performance.  Perform integration and testing.  Analyze performance.  Support delivery and field demonstrations. 
  • Work with hardware/software team members and leadership, sharing and learning skills, eventually leading teams and creating new projects.
  • Provide excellent verbal dn written communications with customer, partners, and team.



  • Passion, skills, and tenacity for developing robust fielded prototypes, systems, and products.
  • A knack for creating systems that are highly valued by users.
  • Ability to contribute significantly to the design of electrical and mechanical hardware and software, and work with teams comprised of engineers and technicians with similar expertise, and more specialized expertise.  
  • Skilled at electrical design of digital and analog (including RF) circuits.
  • Ability to code in Matlab, Python, and C.
  • Ability to perform mechanical design.
  • Excellent communications and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with signal processing associated with radio-frequency (RF), synthetic-aperture-radar, and electro-optics is a plus but not necessary.
  • Optical expertise is a plus but not necessary.
  • Ability to code for GPU is a plus but not necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and/or education.
  • 2-5 years of experience, as this is a junior to mid-level position.
