    Radiant Solutions has an urgent and immediate need for Geospatial Analyst / Programmer to join our team in Reston, Virginia.

    General Summary

    Full-time position providing support to government customer by creating and exploiting geospatial data with a focus on analytic workflow enhancement and automation via scripting, tool development, and machine learning.



    • Combines geospatial modeling techniques with scripting to create analytic products
    • Creates and maintain tools used by All-Source analysts. Common development environments include ArcGIS Python add-ins, stand-alone python GUIs, and JavaScript add-ons for Firefox
    • Pull and Push data in bulk from national level intelligence databases using XML based web APIs
    • Work on a team with highly motivated individuals capable of retooling quickly and switching between tasks on short notice


    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field
    • A minimum of 5 years’ of experience
    • Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cartographic and Geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and digital data formats
    • Critical thinker with proven problem solving skills, ability to understand how to improve efficiency through development and extract valuable intelligence from any and all available resources/methods
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience writing with high-level coding languages and scripting/interpreted languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or other
    • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform, commercial and government exploitation tools such as ArcMap, ERDAS IMAGINE, Google Earth, Arc Catalog
    • Experience with XML structure and API requests
    • Excellent oral, written, and graphic design communication skills, comfortable providing relevant intelligence insights to a variety of audiences


    Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge and experience with machine learning methods and technologies
    • Background working with DIA’s Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB)
    • Understanding and experience with basic principles of engineering and geology
