    Radiant Solutions has an urgent and immediate opening for a Deputy Program Manager to join our DC Metro area team (offices in Gaithersburg, MD, OR Herndon, VA, OR McLean, VA).

    The Deputy Program Manager manages a range of contract performance and business growth activities.

    • Directs, plans, organizes, and manages a portfolio of Task Orders and/or contracts to ensure all contractual obligations are performed exceptionally
    • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships
    • Provide effective personnel management of all staff within their portfolio. Conduct performance evaluations and career counseling/mentorship. Facilitate communication between staff and senior management when needed. Oversee morale and retention of staff
    • Manage cost/budget/profit performance of contracts, and track funding levels
    • Oversee delivery schedules, including monitoring level of effort
    • Select subcontractors/vendors, monitor their performance, and approve invoices
    • Prepare routine monthly contract status reports to track and report all aspects of contract performance to government contracts officers and contracts officer’s technical representatives
    • Interact with stakeholders and customers through Management Review meetings, including requirements and expectations management, and conflict resolution
    • Ensure all contract documents (Gov’t and subcontractor) are up to date and in line with current requirements
    • Provide accurate forecasts of revenue and costs to the Program Manager
    • Act as a Hiring Manager for recruitment efforts. Develop position requirements and assist in interviewing candidates.
    • Work closely with the Contracts office to provide effective administration of subcontracts and manage work efforts.
    • Work with Business Development leads to identify and develop new business opportunities outside of existing customer base
    • Identify and pursue opportunities within existing customer base to expand business
    • Contribute to bid and proposal efforts as needed
    • Work closely with Security team to maintain and uphold Program and Personnel security requirements, to include management of a SCIF and everything in it
    • Cultivate and maintain cross-program communication and situational awareness by regularly communicating with other management staff regarding ongoing and future operations and pursuits


    Required Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain an appropriate perspective
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly communicate the “bottom line” to a variety of audiences
    • Strong management skills, with the ability to manage a program that includes multiple (sometimes unrelated) projects
    • Ability to prioritize and complete a wide range of activities
    • Ability to make sound decisions on critical issues, within tight timeframes
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Ability to learn from a variety of situations and quickly apply newly learned information and skills
    • Ability to maintain business perspective, while effectively managing technical, customer-oriented staff
    • Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with senior management (VP up to CEO) and support elements (Contracts, Accounting, Security, etc.)
    • MUST be willing to travel weekly to McLean, VA offices if positioned in other area offices

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Ability to effectively and concisely describe the entire portfolio, including customer characteristics and missions, our solutions and capabilities, and business environment
    • Broad and detailed understanding of company capabilities (i.e. products and services), with the ability to effectively – and quickly – provide tailored explanations of those capabilities to a variety of audiences
    • Ability to develop strategies that achieve organizational goals, as well as adapt strategies to changing conditions



    • Required:
      • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific, Engineering, or Management Discipline
      • Experience:
        • 5-10 years of professional experience
        • 3-5 years of project management experience


    Computer Skills:

    • Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
    • Deltek – (timesheet review/approval, project reporting) accounting software
    • Salesforce (tracking contract renewals/funding and new business opportunities)
    • Internet software
    • Technical software (particularly GIS)


    Certificates and Licenses:

    • Required: TS/SCI Security Clearance wiith Polygraph
    • Preferred: PMP or PGMP
