    Radiant Solutions is looking for a Contractor Program Security Officer/FSO to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD.


    We are looking for a candidate who is able to support our team by taking on the following responsibilities:

    • Capable of working in a dynamic, fast moving team environment which involves multiple levels of security disciplines (personnel security, physical security, Information Assurance, OPSEC etc.).
    • Team player able to contribute to the overall growth of the Business Unit security team. 
    • Manage and direct the site security program, bringing an understanding of how to operate a complaint security infrastructure with the ultimate goal of exceeding security standards. 
    • Implement all security requirements for IC and DoD programs under purview to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and relevant DoD and IC policies and directives. 
    • Conduct periodic self-inspections on local processes and practices to ensure DSS and customer compliance. 
    • Strong understanding of the security procedures and security clearance process and ability to resolve security and/or clearance problems effectively. 
    • Review, respond to, and process all personnel security paperwork for accuracy, completion, and submission.  
    • Conduct all site and program-specific security education, training and awareness and ensure all assigned personnel complete appropriate security training. 
    • Conduct security briefings and debriefings including initial and annual refreshers, counterintelligence, foreign travel, and suspicious contact reports. 
    • Perform SCIF maintenance functions to include – access control management, SCIF procedural training, daily end of day checks (SCIF open and close), oversight of document control: incoming and outgoing classified material, destruction, STE operations and general routine security items and oversight. 
    • Participate in DSS and IC Security Assessments. 
    • Write and articulate security plans, to include SOPs, SPPs, and FFCs.  
    • Responsible for assisting with security compliance at other company locations. 
    • Manages day to day Security activities to include – clearance checks, passing of Security clearances, foreign travel approvals, access control maintenance, pre-screening, new hire orientation, etc.
    • Responsible to keep company leadership informed at all times of any suspected compromise to security systems.  Physical security duties include, but are not limited to: SCIF combos, access control, alarm accesses, and semi-annual testing with vendor. 
    • Conducts and coordinates investigations into security violations related to cleared personnel and information systems; ensures corrective actions are implemented. 
    • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization. 
    • Works closely with Business Unit Senior Security Director and Insider Threat Program Senior Official to maintain Industrial Security and Insider Threat compliance at the site level.



    • Current SSBI completed within the past five years with polygraph
    • 10-15 years of IC and DoD security experience
    • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF)
    • In-depth knowledge of the Intelligence Community Directives and the NISPOM Security Requirements
    • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Scattered Castle, JPAS, e-QIP, eFCL, SWFT, SIMS and ISFD
    • Working knowledge of ICD 503 and the RMF Process
    • Proven experience with and understanding of DD254s, supporting security requirements as a Prime contractor and ensuring subcontractor security requirements are flowed down and met  
    • Must have proven experience managing programs with the DoD and Intelligence Community 
    • Experience with Security proposal writing
    • Completion of the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum and the Counterintelligence DSS training
    • Analytical ability to understand and interpret DoD and company security policies and procedures
    • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
