  • Responsibilities

     

    Radiant Solutions has an immediate opening for a Senior Human Geographer to work south of Springfield, VA, in Quantico, VA.  The Senior Analyst – Human Geographer is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and integrating geospatial data to include Human Geography (HG) data and analysis concerning regions of the world.

     

    Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

    • Acquire, manage, and make available all geospatial derived HG data and raw data sources obtained for assigned area
    • Research, evaluate, and geospatially enable human terrain foundation themes to be used for analysis
    • Utilize their understanding of the human geography themes, regional knowledge, and culture to create and provide current and relevant human geography and context analysis
    • Obtain, exploit, and disseminate GEOINT data for the benefit of the NGA and IC
    • Create HG data from scratch, obtaining classified and open raw sources and using ArcGIS in order to integrate these raw data sources into new HG datasets
    • Analyze geospatial, imagery, and intelligence information to determine correlation between people and facilities using geospatial data and imagery, resulting in context analysis reporting
    • Develop and deliver relevant and timely HG information, models and tools that enable human geography analysis available to the widest audience possible
    • Collaborate with Social Scientists and subject matter experts to develop planned Human Geography training that is intended to further facilitate the integration of both socio-cultural analyses into geospatial intelligence and the integration of human geography into multiINT analysis
    • Provide human geography “value-added-decision-advantage” information in the form of datasets and visualization products that result in the creation of intelligence reports and GEOINT Notes (GNs)
    • Work with Human Geographers in creating country assessments
    • Work with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Google Earth, ESRI/ArcGIS Suite including ArcMap for creating, editing and processing geospatial data and ArcCatalog for data maintenance and metadata creation
    • Attend relevant HG working groups, tradecraft meetings and cultural/regional enrichment that deepen and enhance subject matter or technical expertise
    • Assist in the implementation of educational seminars for onsite personnel on modeling capabilities, to include the conceptual and theoretical basis for the models for government staff and mission partners

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cartographic and Geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats.
    • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform, commercial and government exploitation tools such as ArcMap, ERDAS IMAGINE, Google Earth, Arc Catalog.
    • Demonstrated MS Word, PowerPoint, and graphic design skills.
    • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated customer support skills.
    • Collaborating effectively with regional analysts, geospatial analysts, imagery analysts, military officers, cartographers, intelligence analysts, engineers, technicians, managers, vendors, or other customers.
    • Knowledge gained through cartographic experience, regional accounts, imagery tasks, program management, or geospatial tasks.

    Education and Experience

    • 10+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
    • Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience
    • Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience
    • Experience with human terrain analysis

    To be qualified, you MUST be a US Citizen and must have and be able to maintain an ACTIVE TS/SCI Security Clearance with polygraph.
