    The Radiant Solutions Security team is currently seeking an experienced individual to serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in our office located in Gaithersburg, MD. The selected individual will manage, implement and communicate government and company security policies and procedures.

    The FSO will interface with Defense Security Service (DSS) on security clearance matters, rulings, and interpretations of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and execution of all assigned classified contracts to ensure protection of sensitive and proprietary information, assets and employees.

    Responsibilities include:


    • Enforce security requirements of applicable National Industrial Security Program Operational Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and DoD Manual 5200.01.
    • Execute security programs for personnel, physical, industrial, and information systems in support of collateral and SCI activities.
    • Maintain Facility Clearance Level status/documentation in ISFD and e-FCL and Personnel Clearance Levels (PCL); performs maintenance of appropriate and accurate personnel security folders. Validate PCL, If required, initiate action for the proper investigation to be conducted.
    • Maintain appropriate government documentation for closed areas storing information and computer systems at the classified level.
    • Review coordinate and publish (amend as needed) security program governance documentation e.g. policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Brief the BU Security Director on the status of the Facility Security Program.
    • Manage physical security requirements and implementation of physical security policies.
    • Accomplish security self-assessments and DSS Vulnerability Assessments.
    • Manage personnel security program, duties entailed accomplishing, reviewing, approving, and submitting SCI nomination packages in accordance with customer requirements
    • Maintain Technology Control Plans (TCP) for foreign employees/visitors when visits are required.
    • Define, update, maintain and produce reports from Department of Defense security clearance system of record.
    • Administer security education, training and awareness program to cleared personnel. Conduct briefing/debriefing of individuals, as required.
    • Aid in development and dissemination of Insider Threat Awareness program as required by the NISPOM.
    • Advise personnel of their reporting requirements, both personal/administrative and compliance/incident-related reports.
    • Process outgoing visit authorizations for personnel assigned to contracts that require cleared access.
    • Communicate security requirements during proposal efforts.
    • Prepare DD-254 documentation and appropriate security guidance for subcontractors.
    • Prepare Facility Clearance (FCL) Sponsorship documentation for subcontractors requiring new FCLs.






    • Active TS/SCI security clearance with in scope SSBI.
    • Must possess current Defense Security Service (DSS) FSO Certification.
    • Must possess a broad knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Manual, DoD Manual 5200.01, DoDM 5105.21, V1 thru V3, and working knowledge of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
    • Individual must be experienced in working with a dynamic work environment, supporting several tasks at once, with potential for short deadlines.
    • Experienced with processing SCI e-Nominations
    • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Scattered Castle, JPAS, e-QIP, eFCL, SWFT, SIMS and ISFD
    • Proven experience with and understanding of DD254s, supporting security requirements as a Prime contractor and ensuring subcontractor security requirements are flowed down and met  
    • Proven experience managing programs with the DoD and Intelligence Community 
    • Experience with Security proposal writing

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of Information System Security Officer duties.
    • CPSO experience a plus

    Education: BA/BS degree in Business or related field preferred

    Work Experience:  8-10 years Security experience.
