    Do you like being the organizing force for technical projects?  Do you enjoy collaborating with project managers, customers, users and technical teams to create successful technical software solutions?  If you do, you’ll love being a Radiant Solutions systems engineer!  Our customers have some of the most interesting needs and hardest challenges to resolve. Our solutions require integrated software systems that harness the power of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to augment the capabilities of human analysts.  We need a mid-level Systems Engineer to participate in the development of these systems preforming requirements analysis, software story decomposition, sub-contractor technical management, Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) document generation, customer and user interface activities, and agile project execution.
     

    Note: US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph are mandatory for this position and required for consideration.

    What would you be doing? 

    • Supporting development teams with sprint planning and execution activities (generate agile epics, stories, and tasks, cultivate backlog)
    • Developing Statements of Work for sub-contractors
    • Participating in the technical management of sub-contractors
    • Participating in the development and maintenance of technical program roadmaps
    • Developing software requirements for data analytics and User Interfaces
    • Managing software dependency lists for classified computer environments
    • Preparing required documentation for software deployments to classified government computer systems
    • Preparing materials for and participating in customer meetings including end-of-sprint demonstrations and program reviews
    • Interacting with existing and potential user groups to aid in user adoption and collect user requirements and feedback
    • Providing inputs and implementing changes to evolve and enhance the systems engineering and scrum agile team processes
    • Developing, maturing, and executing formal verification, validation and test activities for systems that are transitioning from prototype to operations
    • Developing initial concepts and high-level architectures for new programs
    • Briefing government customers on your work including high ranking civilian and military personnel.

    Qualifications

     

    You must have these: 

    • BS in Engineering or related discipline
    • Active TS/SCI clearance
    • 2 to 7 years of relevant experience
    • Capability to creatively solve complex requirements needs
    • Ability to independently devise solutions around a rough set of objectives
    • Systems engineering experience with DoD or IC software and/or hardware programs
    • A natural level of curiosity, resourcefulness, and willingness to research new solutions when necessary
    • Exceptional oral and written communications
    • Organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to take technical direction from senior staff, ask clarifying questions, and work through technical road blocks

    We’d really like it if you had:

    • Experience working with Agile development frameworks, SAFe is a plus
    • Experience using the Atlassian suite of Software Development & Collaboration Tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
    • Experience working in the commercial AWS or government C2S computing environments
    • Technical knowledge of ISR systems
    • Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
    • Agile Scrum Master experience
    • Data Analytics or Big Data software domain experience
    • Experience across the entire lifecycle of a program
    • Experience defining, decomposing, and deriving requirements and functional testing in support of software development programs
    • Experience with at least one of these languages: Python, R, VBA, Java, or C++
    • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
